MY CITY AND CULTURE

My city is San Sebastian. It is in the Basque Country and it is the capital city of Gipuzkoa. We speak two different languages: Basque and Spanish. The city is very beautiful. If you sit on the Zurriola Beach you see the Moneo´s cubos. The building is called Kursaal. There are different events in it. In my city you can see art in open spaces. Ondarreta Beach finishes with the Wind Comb. It is an iron structure. This sculpture was made by Eduardo Chillida. There are also a lot of beautiful buildings: Victoria Eugenia theatre, Maria Cristina hotel, Cristina Enea park, the Buen Pastor cathedral and Miramar palace.

MY CITY AND DIFFERENT PLACES

My city is Donostia. I usually go to La Brecha. It has got a cinema, shops and a Mc Donalds. My friends and I like shopping there. We also go to the Cathedral. The city has different districts: Antiguo, Egia, Gros, Amara, etc. In the oldest part of the city, called the Old Part we have a famous square. The Constitution Square. We have a palace too, the Miramar Palace.

MY CITY AND GASTRONOMY PLANS

My city is very beautiful and its name is San Sebastian. In my city there are a lot of restaurants. In total they have sixteen Michelin Stars. The most famous ones are Arzak, Akelarre, Zuberoa, Mugaritz and Kokotxa. We have very famous chefs. For example Juan Mari Arzak and Martin Berasategi You can also go to the Old Part for “Pintxos”. They are miniatures food in a slice of bread. Some of our typical dishes are squid, bacalao al pil pil, cod throats and crab. They are all delicious!

MY CITY AND SPORTS

Donostia – San Sebastian is a very small city. The soccer team is Real Sociedad. Its colours are white and blue. The basket team is Lagun Aro. We also have a hockey team. Its name is Atletico San Sebastian. Our city has three beaches and young people surf on them. Finally there is a rowing team called Ur-Kirolak. On September there is a “regata”. It is a rowing competition. It is very famous and a lot of people come to my city.

MY CITY AND THE BEACHES

My city is the best and I love my city. It rains a lot but when summer arrives we go to the beaches. There are three beaches. The most central beach is La Concha Beach. It is very elegant, the Europe´s loveliest beach. Between the Kursal and Mount Ulia we have Zurriola Beach. I has a lot of waves. You can see people surfing there. The third beach is Ondarreta. It has a swimming pool and you can play tennis. On the beaches you can swim, make sand castles and play different sports. You can have fun in my city. Come to my city a have a great time!

MY CITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

My city is called San Sebastian. It is very big and beautiful. The weather is very humid because it is near the sea. It has got three beaches and one island called Santa Clara. It is possible to go there by boat or ship. If you are brave you can also go swimming. San Sebastian has got five bridges. The river is called Urumea. San Sebastian has got three mountains. Mount Urgull that has a military fort. Mount Ulia that has a picnic area and a nature park. Finally Mount Igueldo that has an attraction park, you can go there by funicular. From Igueldo you can see the Concha Bay which is a really beautiful landscape.

MY CITY AND THE TOURISM

My city is San Sebastian and it is a small city. But it is also a tourist destination. San Sebastian has three beaches and in summer there are full of people. The Zurriola beach is a paradise for surfers. The tourist can go for lunch to many restaurants. There are very important good cooks. We have an Attraction Park in Mount Igeldo with a small rollercoaster, the horror house and the mysterious river. There is a hotel there, the tallest one in San Sebastian, but we also have very luxury hotels like Maria Cristina.

THEATER - "The HAT"

Bernardo, who lives in Rome, likes to wear hats. One day he buys one from a street market. His wife doesn’t like the hat and takes it to a store and sells it. Three days later, Anna buys the same hat. Anna is in Rome on vacation and a week later returns home to California. She meets a man called Mitch in a café. He says he loves Anna’s hat. She likes Mitch and she now thinks that her hat is a lucky hat. Suddenly, the wind blows Anna’s hat away into the sea. On a beach near the café, Cal is sleeping. Cal is poor and homeless. Cal’s dog, Sunny, runs into the sea and picks up Anna’s hat. Then Cal plays his guitar on the street and people put a lot of money in the hat. Cal thinks the hat is lucky. That night, Rod steals the hat when Cal is sleeping. He then goes into a store in town with a gun. He tells the woman in the store to give him money. The woman gives him the money and he runs out of the store. She phones the police and tells them the robber is wearing a green and yellow hat. The police see Rod in the street and chase him. Rod thinks the hat is unlucky and throws it away. The hat lands in a taxi. Gina, a young Italian woman, is in the taxi. She thinks the hat is lucky and decides to wear it. A day later, Gina is back in Rome where a man, who is Bernardo, tells her that he loves hats!
